Went there on a Saturday night with two buddies. Surprisingly, we were sat in five minutes. Our server, Valerie, attended us immediately. Our food arrive correctly, as ordered, in no more than ten minutes. It was great! My only gripe was that the pitcher of beer we ordered was a bit watered down. Aside from that though, great and friendly service! Even the manager stopped by for a moment to ask us how our meal was. Grade: B+

Great food and large portions. They have theme days as well.

Loaded Nachos is the best, if it is made by the right person. Be sure you don't get screwed on the chili. Five Stars even though I always get silverware that is bent or broken.

The meal deals sunday thru Thursday is the way to go. Comes with a beer and all for 13-20$. Really good ceased salad with tasty sides. Our fav is the 1/2 rib plate.

I walk in on a Saturday afternoon, take a seat at the bar. It was busy, but not crazy busy. I'm trying to capture the eyes of one of the three people behind the bar, but instead a patron decides to serenade me with his angry views on politics and life in general. No one from the bar even acknowledges me!!! After 10 minutes of parched misery, I left. Time to stop living off the accolades of the past, Flanigan's! This was as miserable an experience as I've had at a bar. I went to the Fox & Hound on Dixie Hwy instead where I found a cold beer and a friendly greeting. Not a fan of Flanigan's, anymore.

This restaurant chain has been around for a while, now. Until recently, i have frequently begun to eat here. The food is outstanding! I always get the fried shrimp dinner with the side of dirty rice. They bread their own shrimp and cook their own rice. So you are not getting the frozen pre-breaded shrimp out of the box from Sysco. The ribs are their signature dish for a reason, they are DAMN good. They have over 20 spots in south Florida and they are all great! Great place to have some drinks, bring the kids and enjoy some Delicious food, the burgers are fantastic as well. As long as they continue to keep up their high standards of food and service, I will continue to come here for great food.

A spot where locals go for a quick bite, a casual family lunch or dinner, and game watching. Friendly service and a menu that offers something for everyone. Daily specials, tasty fish entrees as well as burgers, finger-lickin ribs, delicious nachos, soups, salads, pastas, and kids meals. One of my favorites is their Philly Cheese-Steak. Entrees come with your choice of rice, potato, or vegetable. Full bar, a signature plastic cup, and the sweet tea is really good too. On busy nights, parking may be tough but there is a neighboring lot that accommodates the crowd. Look for it on the north side of Commercial Blvd...just a couple blocks east of Dixie Hwy.

Haven't been to Flanigan's in quite awhile so we decided to try it again. Thought we scored the perfect spot in the parking lot only to be nearly run over by a guy 1/2 second ahead of me who wasn't backing down in a game of parking lot "chicken". I backed up and took the next spot 3 spaces away, lol. Once we were safely inside, we opted to sit at the bar. Greeted right away we put our drink orders in an looked around to see if any of our friends were hanging out. We perused the menu and settled on a couple of our old favs. Wifey had a Flanigan Burger and me Beef Philly Cheese. The food came out and my first disappointment was seeing the piece of unmelted cheese the cook slapped on top of my sandwich before sending it out. Next, I asked for raw onions on she side to find he tossed them on the sandwich under the piece of unmelted cheese. That was strike 2. My fries were not crispy so I didn't eat most of them. Service at the bar was decent so not a total disaster but the food experience was enough to keep us away for awhile.

I've been to this location a couple times and this time didn't disappoint. I've had the ribs before with the absolute best garlic knots so this time I thought I would try something else. I ordered the chicken philly with everything on it (cheese, mushrooms and onions) and it was absolutely delicious. The chicken was sautéed making the chicken nice and juicy, the onions were nicely caramelized with the mushrooms and melted cheese on top. The sandwich was quite large and came with a side of curly fries. The sandwich was big enough that I could bring half home, which made the price even better since I'm getting 2 meals out of my one dinner. Today was tumbleweed onion Tuesday during happy hour, which means if you order a pitcher of beer or soda you get a free tumbleweed onion appetizer for free. We didn't take advantage of that promotion, however I did order a Bacardi rum drink that was 3.99 during happy hour. You can choose either a rum and coke or what I prefer is fruit juice and rum. It was a small drink (I wasn't expecting large because the price was so good) but definitely had rum in it. The service was great, and I would definitely recommend checking out this place if you can't think of a tasty place to eat.

Ate here during my 43 day super low carb diet. I was surprised to find so many options. I went with the half rack of ribs with 6 wings option which also came with a side of my choice and coleslaw. For the side I chose steamed broccoli. Everything was quite tasty. I was honestly shocked as I am not typically a fan of chain restaurants. The ribs were tender and the wings weren't dry. If I ever go on a low carb diet again (I'm sure I will...), I will definitely come back to Flanigan's. My only real complaint is that parking is non-existent there.

Always disappointed when eating here. Friends like it so I end up here. Had a lemon chicken pasta. Wasn't good.

This is one of my favorite places to go for good food at decent prices. There are a number of them scattered around, which makes it convenient for more people. There is plenty of parking. As you walk in, the interior is dark and cozy. There is a bar, in case you have to wait or just want drinks. There are specials every night and extended happy hours. I tried my daughter's cocktail special and was surprised at the amount of rum for the price. Always a good thing! My usual order here is the baby back ribs and garlic knots. These are the best ribs we've had since we moved here. The meat literally falls off the bone tender and moist. While this may be true in a lot of places, the trick is really in the sauce. This sauce, in my opinion, is perfect. It's sweet, but not like syrup, and has just enough tang and heat to give you that wonderful spicy warmth that is found in the best BBQ sauces. The garlic knots are also my favorite in town. They are big, light, yeasty and slathered in garlic butter, done to the perfect shade of brown. This trip, I decided to branch out and try something new. Since we don't see many affordable fish entrees, I went for the sautéed tilapia. It arrived in a reasonable amount of time and smelled delicious. This was a big serving - 2 6oz. tilapia filets, sautéed in a light garlic butter, wine sauce. It was perfectly done, golden and flaky. While tilapia, if not properly prepared, can have a slightly muddy flavor typical of bottom feeding fish, this had none. One of the filets, along with the baked potato and coleslaw were plenty. I had a whole filet left to take home. My only issue was that the amount of slaw was very small for the serving of fish. I also decided to try my daughter's chicken Philly, which was listed as their most popular sandwich. I can see why! The chicken was moist and tender, slathered with melted cheese, mushrooms and caramelized onions. It was big enough for two meals. While there is nothing truly spectacular about this restaurant, it's a good value for good food. Give it a try and tell them Yelp sent you!

Even chain restaurants can have better locations that others and this location is one. Don't know who's in the kitchen but the hamburgers here are great -- tender, juicy and done the way you want them. Fries are cooked just right. I had the chicken wing appetizer (it's a meal in itself!) and it was delicious. The wings were not breaded, and were tender, moist and served hot. Was a tiny bit disappointed in the celery/carrots/blue cheese accompaniment to the wings. They charged 49 cents for it which seems a bit chintzy. Most places just add it onto the plate as a garnish. Still, can't complain. Noise level is moderate but you can hear your dinner guests well at the table. Big bar at this location and a great place to watch sports on the many TV's. Friendly staff. Parking lot is a bit tiny. If you can't find a space park on the street. You'll get booted if you use the lot next door. If you're looking for a great hamburger and a fun evening, this is the place.

I am not a fan of Flanigan's in general. However, this may change if I continue to have experiences like the one I am reviewing. *Disclaimer* Parking here is no simple task. There just plain aren't enough spots. There was a bit of a wait when we got there, which is OK considering I was expecting it. But, the entrance does not accommodate waiting guests. Once seated I was impressed with the swift service. The waitress asked us several times if we were ready, and readily answered our questions. After ogling the menu a bit we managed to navigate our way to the low-carb options (Elizabeth and I are on a "Low-Carb" diet). Elizabeth ordered the half rack of ribs with chicken wings, with an alternate side of steamed broccoli. I blatantly copied her order, because it sounded awesome. And it was. The ribs were delicious. They were tender and flavorful. The wings were fairly good. The broccoli was broccoli, and I ate it because I was starving! I'm not one to sacrifice quality to pinch pennies. But, for the overall price, we had a great meal.

I have missed Flanigans so much since moving to an area that does not have any. Totally enjoyed the food and the service from Tim was impeccable. Definitely will head back here when I am in the area.

It's not my scene... At all lol but I've never been here . Just not my sort of ambiance at all! Very dull , more of an older (beer drinking ) crowd . Not even a cool beer drinking spot. ,, just not me at all . Food had no taste but it was hot & edible. Small little margarita ... *sighs* I've been to flannigans before had a Much better experience. Just not at THIS location. Maybe you will have a better time then me ?!

Going to Flanigans last night for dinner was by far the most unprofessional dinner experience for me and my 25 guests. I've always liked Flanigans for it's family oriented atmosphere but last night our server Donna was very rude and unprofessional. She carded my two friends who ordered a pitcher and after carding them says "I'm not serving you, and I'm not going to jail because I'm pregnant." The girls had two beers prior and were previously crying from leaving a funeral service with our group of 25 people who came to Flanigans. It is understandable to assume she shouldn't be served because of her appearance being in dismay. The manager spoke to both of the girls and noticed the girls weren't intoxicated and brought them beers they ordered anyways. The dining experience started off already at a rocky start but the disrespectful attitude of our server Donna was unforgivable and made it hard to enjoy our time at Flanigans. She at the end of the night brought us one check even though it was clear from the beginning we asked for separate checks. She dropped change on the table and walked away, that was the last time was saw our server Donna for the night. It is understandable that everyone has "bad days" but 70% of us who work in the service industry were utterly embarrassed and aggravated. All we wanted was a dinner together as friends and family. Robbie the manager was attentive enough to check on the table, serve us, and over all be a gracious host. We hope as a group that this situation can be addressed and the attitude of your employee can be changed. I can personally say I love Flanigans I've always had good times, good food, and enjoy the neighborhood style atmosphere at your location but last night was by far the worst dining experience I've ever had.

I normally avoid chain restaurants but my boyfriend ate at a Flanigan's and raved about what he ate so I thought I'd give it a try. I am so glad I did because I love their fish sandwiches & mixed drinks! I also like the laidback, friendly atmosphere in the restaurant and so far every server we have had has been great. I recently went to a pricey restaurant on Galt Ocean Drive and ordered their fish sandwich and while eating it I seriously thought to myself how I'd rather be eating an affordable, tasty Flanigan's fish sandwich! Whenever my boyfriend and I eat out, we usually go to Flanigan's. The only bad thing is at this location, parking is not the greatest.

Screw Alabama! This review has nothing to do with the food or service at Flanagan's. It has to do with ambiance. The food and service is clearly 5 stars. I walk in with my wife in the bar area and what does my little eye spy.......about a dozen Alabama fans. What? I look at the multiple TVs and almost every single one of them is playing the Alabama Football game. Did we take a wrong turn somewhere? WTF man, this SUCKS! I can't even find the Florida Game and it's a close one against South Carolina. This is bull$hit. The Florida game is playing right behind our heads on a smaller TV. So we are watching, WTF they change the channel to hockey. I tell the bartender who was a cool guy, we are watching the Florida game. He apologizes and puts the game on the big screen in front us. Thank you Jesus! It's not that I hate Alabama, I hate Nick Saban. With that said, unless you are an Alabama fan don't go here if they are playing. Stay Hungry!

Ribs and potato with fire cracker shrimp. Super bowl Sunday with RW. Here for the ice project.

The ribs are indeed fall off the bone tender. The full slab is longer than the plate. They are seasoned exceptionally well and above all are very tasty. The amount of sauce is very ample for the flavor but not so much as to need a new napkin in between each rib. The prime rib is a little drier than I prefer my prime rib to be. The flavor is good but not the best I have had. The au jus is fine and I would like to have had more bite in the horseradish sauce. My family loves the garlic butter rolls and they do look impressive. I have just "drifted away" from breads for the most part. However, my wife and daughter are very discerning when it comes to bread and they say the rolls are excellent! The potatoes are obviously baked in the oven as indicated by their aluminum foil jackets. Definitely keeps the potato moist but the skin does not get crisp. Hard to find a baked potato with a crisp skin anymore. Oh, I can't believe I almost forgot the Caesar salad. It was marvelous. Perhaps a little more mayonnaise than I would use but you can't deny the flavor... robust with that little tang that so many Caesar dressings lack. And this was no small bowl. It came close to being a smaller meal size salad in its own right. Very enjoyable and since it was from the Sunday to Thursday specials offer, it was an excellent value. Even got a draft beer included with the meal. My wife got a generous glass of the house red wine with hers. My suggestion, go with the ribs. However, I am going to have to try the chicken wings next time. One of my Yelp friends, who is now in Texas, inquired about them. I'll have to see if they are as good as he says they were when he was here. I will let you know Mario P.

good sports bar, decent food... known for their ribs.. not impressed... but do love their ribs rolls (egg rolls w/ rib meat/sauce)... for some reason every time I go, busy or slow the service is horrible...

Have not been here in 15 yrs. Happy to say nothing has changed. They have the BEST ribs ever, hands down, game over. The rest of the food was very good also. The service was good and the food came out very timely. Lots of places to pick from in the Ft. Lauderdale area, however, you will not be sorry if you go to Flanigan's. The menu has something for everyone, salads, seafood, burgers and just about anything else. Very positive experience start to finish.

We went last night for Dinner. With the hope of watching a Special on one of the 30 plus TV on the Victoria Secret Fashion Show! Was told by the Manager and the server. Plus I sent a response from the the Corporate Manager. That they are "Family Restaurant" and a Sports Bar! So they won't accommodate 2 guest with 1 TV on CBS for 1/2 hour. When people are swearing in the Bar and caring on. It's Not a "Family Restaurant"! We been spending over 200.00 a week there and now we will go to Ale House or Rosie's who has TV and much more customer friendly and accommodating. We also found the portions to be smaller than the Ale house which gives a very Large portion on there meals for a Casual Restaurant. The Decor also tired and old and Dirty sticky Tables and the servers are friendly but lack any sort of using proper server Verbiage. And shirts and clothes even tucked in properly. The only good thing about this place is the hostess who always has a smile and is friendly. Also don't order the Dolphin Fingers. This is Not Dolphin not even Cod. Taste and looks like Talapia or Smelt! If this is there Flag ship Restaurant they should sell it and lets somebody else by it and make it a Clean and Happening Sports Bar and not some Run down Restaurant and Bar!

This spot seems like a local joint. The prices are very good along with the food. We got the ribs and loaded backed potato for about for around $16. The ribs are better then average. The only down to this places was it kinda dirty. We sat by the window and I had to sit by dust bunnies while I ate my meal. Yuck!

Stopped by because it was close to my hotel. Had a great meal, blackened mahi-mahi, house salad, cole slaw. Price was very reasonable and beverages were 1/2 price, happy hour and it was around 1000pm on a Wednesday. Sheena was working behind the bar and she was very efficient and friendly. Had a dining room or you can get full meal at the bar. Several good TVs to watch sports in the bar area. I would recommend if looking for good food, a fair price and friendly staff.

Been here many times. Food is usually pretty good, but they could use an update on TVs. Are they trying to be a sports bar ? If so get with HD TV and make me want to stick around and not just have my food to go.

  • Jerome W.

Update based on my recent visit to the 441 location. Had the Tuna dinner for lunch and companion had the lunch special for 5.99 : the Tilapia fish sandwich. My usual kudo's on the tuna which I like raw in the middle and cooked outside and that's how they did it. For 5.99 you cannot get a better value for lunch. This time the Tilapia was breaded and fried, but next time I would recommend to order it blackened and grilled, might be better. Still 4 stars unchanged.

took the outta towners here for some american ribs and chicken wings. cannot beat their meal deals during the week $20 for a full rack of ribs, garlic rolls, cesar salad, side of fries, potato, etc and a house wine/beer or soda. ridiculous amount of food. the ribs are always good here. the wings a ok. good place to take zeee germans. not good to eat here too often, you'll pack on the lbs quickly.

I love Flanigans and support both this and the Atlantic Blvd restaurants. What keeps me coming back? Its the tasty burgers with flavor, the great lunch specials for $4.99 and the late night happy hour with half priced drinks from 9pm onwards. I always sit at the bar so I have never had a problem with service. The wings, prime rib and blackened dolphin are a few of my faves. I believe they also have daily specials Monday through Thursday where if you get a pitcher of beer you get a free food items such as wings or tumble weed onions etc. Their kitchen is also open pretty late so if you work late like me its a great place to stop by

Loaded Nachos and a Blackened Mahi sandwich is my Favorite combination. Then after you factor in the shear excitement and thrill of bending all the silverware at your table.... I give this place Five Stars!

Disappointing. The captain of our scuba charter boat recommended this place but it was below mediocre. The chicken wings were cold. The ribs were watery. Service was OK. The salad tasted canned!!!!

The food at this chain restaurant is good, but the service here is poor. You have to ask for refills or more drinks too often. The servers seem more interested in chatting with each other than they are in serving you. One of the servers at the bar was actually a little rude to me when I asked for more napkins. I would recommend other Flanigan restaurants, just not this one. My 3 experiences here were all met with poor service. Three strikes and you're out in my book.

    (2)
  • Suzanne R.

Flannigans is a Fort Lauderdale classic. The burgers are the best. The staff is friendly, the beer specials are great. I would recommend this for friends meeting up or a business lunch.

    (5)
  • Alex B.

So you ask for a $5.99 Lunch "SPECIAL" for which you have to BUY a drink which ONLY comes with ONE refill unless you PAY EXTRA for the big cup, of you want garlic in your wings you have to PAY EXTRA, if you want celery and/or Blu Cheese you ALSO have to PAY EXTRA! So how "Special" is this deal?! Very poor customer service ON TOP OF THAT! It's sad to see how one of my former favorite restaurants is going on a downward spiral.
